Another wonderful stay in Bottlebrush Cottage! We have loved the paddle boarding, kite flying and sandcastles at Whitsand bay; talking to the coastguards at Rame; geo-caching and Segways at Mount Edgecombe; Kino cinema at Patchwork Studios; day trips to St Ives and St Michael’s Mount; the Community Cafe and as always….searching for sea glass treasure at Cawsand! Thank you for a wonderful stay here in Cawsand. The property is so well appointed and beautifully decorated - love all the paintings and it feels a warm family home to come to. Lots of fun paddle boarding and kayaking and watching the local swimmers encouraging us to have a dip in the mornings! Enjoyed food, music and atmosphere at the Cross Keys and fantastic pasties from The Cove opposite. Beautiful walk along the coastal path overlooking Rame Head - fantastic views. Many thanks for a wonderful few days in beautiful Cornwall and we look forward to returning!
My friend and I have just returned from an excellent weekend at Bottlebrush cottage.
The cottage is tastefully decorated and equipped with all mod cons any family would need. The wood burner in the lounge is easy to light and it was a pleasure to relax in the comfortable lounge bathed in the glow of the fire and to the sound of crackling wood and the feint sound of the sea in the distance.
The large kitchen table was hub central, where we chatted whilst cooking, listening to music courtesy of Alexa and supped locally distilled gin, produced a stones throw away in Kingsand.
All three bedrooms were spacious with plenty of room not to be tripping over things. The master bedroom has an ensuite and views of the sea.
The twin room is full of exciting toys for the younger visitors. The double room is where I slept wonderfully in a very comfy bed and cosy room.
The garden is up a steep flight of stairs, it has views of the sea, a decking area with a large table and sofa from where I sat back gazing out to sea hopeful to spot dolphins.
The beach is behind the cottage approx 100m away. The village of Cawsand and Kingsand have lots of pubs offering live music, sports coverage, amazing gastro menus and most importantly friendly and warm welcomes, including the dogs.
Opposite the cottage is a cafe, a shop and pub. Just up the road in Kingsand is a deli where we bought and enjoyed the best pasties ever!
There is so much to do in the area, from coastal walks, beach days, fishing trips, kayaking, cycling and sampling local caught, grown, produced produce.
I will be booking another stay and am already looking forward to my next adventures based in Bottlebrush cottage, where I can relax in beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

Wow Absolutely stunning cottage! We have just returned from a 4day break at this amazing beautiful cottage. The decor is stunning and everything you could possibly need is there. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Great location and beautiful walks. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay here. Definitely would come back.

When writing this review I don’t know what I loved more: the beautiful cottage, the incredible location or the above-and-beyond customer service provided by the owners. From the moment we arrived, the found that the pictures had not done the cottage justice, and the place was significantly larger and more attractive than your average holiday cottage. Furthermore, Bottlebrush Cottage felt more like a home - you could tell immediately that the owners loved the space, and had decorated it with years of happy, family holidays in mind. Unlike many holiday cottages i have stayed in, nothing was cheaply done, poorly-mended or rickety...everything spoke of beautiful quality and loving care.
Another delightful time at Bottlebrush. Thank you so much for allowing us to share share this bit of heaven. Weather inclement but that didn’t stop our daily swims and exploring. Thank you again.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location right next to the beach in wonderful Cawsand. Lovely garden and deck with ocean views. High quality beds and bathrooms. Nice touches such as a collection of toys in the children’s room. We will be back!

Sitting here in the little window seat with my little Border Terrier at my feet, planning next years visit !! This has been a wonderful place to be based, has everything we have needed and more, plus a lovely touch for the owner to have left us a bottle of Prosecco for our arrival 👏🏻. It’s a beautiful cottage in a perfect location, the locals are all very friendly and there is a fantastic takeaway right opposite run by Ian and his lovely wife, fantastic food and gorgeous ice cream as well as a few essentials, they even kindly took a parcel in for us !!! Superb coastal walks right from our door, gorgeous little cove beaches, beautiful clear sea, lots for kids to do in the way of kayaking, longboards etc, the sea is very calm here !! We are definitely coming back next year , I think we’ve found a gem !! Ooh and 3 really excellent pubs doing fabulous food within short walking distance, but you must book !!!
Your cottage is absolutely delightful, you have it beautifully presented and very comfortable. The near access to the beach and your little garden were highlights, not forgetting the great pub food at the Halfway House, and the daily ice creams.
A truly lovely home in a wonderful Cornish village. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

It’s a beautiful cottage right in the heart of Cawsand. Right next to the sea. The square is vibrant and has a great atmosphere. It’s also a great place to explore the surrounding area.
What a delightful cottage. It really is a home from home. We've had a fantastic week, the location of the cottage is superb - views of the sea from the garden and bedroom windows. The town is very friendly and the pubs are great. Its a great base to visit all of the other places along the coast. We also went to the Eden Project which was a fantastic day out. We would love to come back again!
We had a fabulous time and the weather was pretty lovely too. Bottlebrush Cottage is beautiful and just how we imagined...decorated with a lot of care and attention to detail and comfort!!!
This is a fabulous house in a great location. 10 seconds walk from the beach. The house has everything you need, good sized bedrooms and a lovely garden.
Had a great stay at your lovely cottage, we didn't want to anything, fantastic location. Very lucky with the weather in February too. Hope to return later in the year.

Our first weekend away! What an amazing setting, even more beautiful in real life! We had a lovely stay, Halfway House fab for a meal. Amazing afternoon at Whitsand Bay - beach to ourselves. The stars through the skylight and lapping of the waves. Perfect setting for a special weekend and I know we will be back.

Lovely comfortable cottage which was suitable for ages ranging from 2 to 70. Very pretty garden with that sea view, but the steps to it are very slippery in wet weather. An umbrella for shelter against the sun would be good. Friendly, helpful owners.
Owner response: The comment on the steps is quite right in wet weather and we have put up a warning about this, a challenge as the steps are original to the cottage. A handrail is in place and we have ensured that very regular cleaning takes place to help.
Fantastic quaint area of Cornwall so untouched by modern developments, Yes a lot of holiday rentals , but this means for us a very quiet stay in a superb cottage over 3 floors that had every modern convenience you could need and the added bonus of being literally a throw of a pebble from the beach .
Great location for people who like walking holidays. Definitely a good cottage to stay out of season. Certainly a cottage well equipped for people who truly want to self cater in comfort with no worries.
Amazing cottage and location! Right on the sea, beautiful costal walks from your back door and excellent pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Water sports in season and a safe cove for children. It's a little gem that you won't want to leave!
